Dr. Tanisha Drummond is a Board-Certified Child and Adolescent Psychologist with extensive experience conducting comprehensive psychological assessments for children, adolescents, and young adults. Her clinical work spans outpatient clinics, schools, and hospital settings, equipping her with broad expertise in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Dr. Drummond is dedicated to providing culturally responsive, individualized, strengths-based evaluations that support accurate diagnoses and guide effective care and intervention.
Dr. Drummond received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Notre Dame of Maryland University in Baltimore, Maryland. She went on to receive her Master of Arts and Doctor of Psychology in Clinical Psychology from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. She completed her postdoctoral internship at Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services in Grand Rapids, Michigan. After receiving her doctorate, Dr. Drummond completed a post-doctoral fellowship in trauma and maltreatment at the CARES Institute in Stratford, New Jersey. Dr. Drummond has been a licensed psychologist in the state of Maryland since 2013 and a member of the Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) since 2021. She obtained her board certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2017.
In addition to assessment, Dr. Drummond provides training and consultative services, as well as speaking engagements and media appearances. Dr. Drummond co-authored the chapter, Assessing Black and African American Clients in Essentials of Culture in Psychological Assessment (2024). Dr. Drummond is one of the founders of the Cross Cultural Collective (C3) for Mental Health Professionals. She is also a mentor and founding member of UPSIDE: Underrepresented Psychology Student Inclusion, Development, and Empowerment.
